Jamie Moyer needed just 98 pitches to finish his second complete game of the year, a 6-2 win over the Padres. The win made Moyer the third pitcher in major league history to win 100 games after the age of 40. He allowed two runs on five hits in the second, then only two hits the rest of the way. He had only one three-ball count, which came in the ninth. It was a complete game win, with lots of crisp, even sparkling, defense and lots of timely hitting.
